Charles Manley IV, Personal Lines Specialist

Charles Manley IV was born on March 19, 1984, to Barbara and Charles Manley. Charles Manley is a member of St. George Episcopal Church of San Antonio, Tx, and went to school there up to 8th grade. He went to high school at Antonian College Preparatory and is currently attending the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Charles R Manley IV worked with his father in the district as even a small child, working on computers from the age of 10 helping out with data entry and other various activities around the office. In June 2001, Charles received his Customer Service Representative license and in 2002, received his Property & Casualty License becoming an agency producer under his father. He later received his Life & Health License in 2004.

Since then, Charles has received two marketing awards, an agency policy-in-force Record Breaker award for Commercial lines in 2001 and the Eagle’s Nest award in 2005 for excellence in marketing and production. Charles helps out in the community working with both the Church and other various community charities, such as helping with the MS Society and the American Diabetes Association.

Charles also became a member of the Greater San Antonio Builders Association in 2007 with his father and has attended several of their events.

Barbara B Manley, Agency Producer

Barbara Manley was born in 1952 and raised in the small town of Kenedy, Texas and is a lifetime member and daughter to co-founders of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She went to high school in Kenedy, Tx, and she married Charles at the age of 19 after spending 2 years at Texas Lutheran University.

At the age of 19, she started with the Farmers Insurance Group, in Kenedy, Tx, at Mr. Manley’s office on Main St. The district manager of the time, Charlie Janota of Shiner, Tx, approached Mr. and Mrs. Manley about becoming a district manager in 1973, at which they accepted the job and moved to their new office in San Antonio.

From 1973 to 2001, they served together as the manager for District 45, with her as marketing director, and went on countless trips for various awards, from Life Masters to Presidents Council. She received awards for recognition of service to the company and for excelling in customer service & marketing.

On June 6, 2001, Barbara Manley retired from being a marketing director when her husband decided to go back as an agent. Now, she currently works as an Agency Producer and secretary. She works full-time on customer service and other various operations in the agency.
