Community Involvement
March of Dimes SupportGiving back to the community is part of the Farmers brand, the foundation on which our trust and respect securely rests. Farmers supports a range of national, regional and local programs in the communities where we live and work: local sports teams and schools, the March of Dimes and we serve by volunteering our time, talents and continuing the legacy of our founder's commitment to service. This year our District raised over $3,000.00, the entire Los Angeles Market raised over $156,000.00 and Farmers as a whole over $4,100,000.00 to date! We're delighted to be a part of this way of reaching out and touching the lives of our community and be a hero for America's babies.Farmers Insurance Angels City Classic
Football GameSince 2007 Farmers Insurance Group has been the title sponsor of the Angel City Classic played at the famed Los Angeles Coliseum. As District Manager, I was instrumental in bringing this football game to the Los Angeles community in order to instill a desire among struggling African-American youth to strive for excellence, stay in school and attend college. It is my desire that this bowl game will soon become the most watched and attended Bowl Classic in the United States. Farmers' first year as title sponsor yielded in excess of 50,000 attendees and 75,000 attendants in September 2008. In addition, it will hopefully impress upon millions the importance of higher education and serve as yet another great example of Farmers' commitment to the communities it serves. Team 92
Tournament of Roses Parade & Child Identification Program - M.I.L.K.Members of my TEAM are always ready to support and give back to the community as seen here. New Years Day, Tournament of Roses Parade was no exception. We scheduled parents to start Child ID programs for their little ones! The event was a huge success; we met with more than 200 families on this day alone!Los Angeles Urban LeagueTeaching the value of giving back should start early. At District 92, we mentor students from area high schools interested in business entrepreneurship. 2-4 high school students spend 10 hours each week working with the district manager, agents and staff on the intricacies of management and agency ownership. |
