First Year Summer 2008 Intern
Student applicant with an interest in insurance and financial services industry, indicative by education major, to begin work during Summer of 2008. This position will train applicant in all phases of insurance and financial services. It will culminate in the student participating in a one-week training course and testing for either a life and health or a property and casualty license. Agency will reimburse intern for class and test expenses.Job Requirements:Must be computer literate and have some knowledge of insurance basics. During the first Summer, an 18- or 19-year-old student will learn the basics of an insurance agency. Must show a history of responsibility and integrity, and be able to work at least 30 hours per week.Compensation:First-year Summer intern is a non-compensated position and experience should be used toward course credit. Some expenses will be reimbursed and agency will pay for professional license classes and testing.
Second Year Summer Associate
Second Season Summer Intern:
The second year of internship (usually between the sophmore and junior year) will be centered around client contact and marketing of the agency. Intern will be first line of contact with clients and (license expected) will assist clients with coverages, developing proposals for coverage, presentation to clients in personal lines.Requirements: First Year InternshipCompensation: Licensed second year interns will be expected to develop business and will be compensated on an hourly wage, as well as a bonus program.
Client Contact Manager
Intern will primarily assist in the proactive client contact area of the agency. Candidates will be exposed to first level client contact with no sales involvement. Will work with full-time employees in a mission-critical, client support atmosphere. Based on interest and ability, intern may explore opportunities in licensing and sales of products. Intern will receive the same training as a full-time employee in phone etiquette, retention, policy, empathetic listening, and problem solving. Intern will also schedule appointments in this role when the need to see the agent arises.Job Requirements – Excellent listening ability, as well as verbal and written communication skills. This will be the bridge between the agency and client. No selling is permitted or expected in this position. A preferred candidate would have some basic knowledge of insurance, including auto, home, life, business, and financial concepts. Strong computer knowledge working in a web-based atmosphere.
Third Year Summer Intern
Third Year Summer Intern:
Third year intern must be licensed in life, health, property and casualty. Candidate will spend the summer on a marketing and sales development project to be decided. This will be candidate's own project.Compensation: Hourly rate plus bonus upon success of the project.
Personal Lines Producer Auto/Home/Life
The Barzizza Agency is looking for a full-time candidate to manage the Auto Insurance Team. Candidate must be licensed in Tennessee with Property & Casualty and Life licenses and have experience in web-based auto quoting, production, and policy administration. Producer must have track record of generating auto production in an agency setting and be able to adminster existing clients. Must be articulate, have above-average computer skills, and be willing to take charge of the Auto Insurance Team. Compensation will be tied to new and existing (renewal) business. Producer can expect a subsidy for the first twelve months.Producer will also be able to sell home and life insurance.
Financial Representative
Candidate is needed to assist agent with the increased demand for financial products** from our clients. Candidate must be licensed in life, health, and have a series 6 and 63. Designation such as CLU, ChFC, or CFP are preferred. High payouts are available from our efficient listing of funds management companies.
