Our 2008 and 2009 March of Dimes campaigns were successes, raising money for programs to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. This is something we are proud to be a part of and will continue to do every year. We support the Metropolitan Community Colleges by being the preferred insurance company for the five campuses: Blue River, Business & Technology, Longview, Maple Woods and Penn Valley. Farmers Insurance supports teachers, administrators and staff for providing exceptional education for our future leaders.
As a business member of Hawthorn Hill Elementary PTA in Lee’s Summit, we support the education of our youth close to home with donations and educational programs to be used in their classrooms. The Lee’s Summit R-7 School District was ranked No. 7 among school districts throughout the nation in Money magazine's annual issue focusing on "America's Best Places to Live." And it is our schools that helped make the city of Lee's Summit rank 79th among the 100 towns listed in "America's Best Small Cities."
