We all want the next generation to grow up healthy and strong — that’s one of the reasons we’re such strong supporters of the March of Dimes. Last spring, our agency reached out to the young citizens in the community. Our agency asked for the assistance of a local elementary school in reaching a goal of a $1,000.00 collection for the March of Dimes. Thanks to office manger Vicky Minor’s organization, encouragement and hard work, students at Steele Elementary School got into the giving spirit with a fundraiser that raised $1,314.
Classes at Steele Elementary School competed against one another in this fundraising drive. Students received a milk carton collection box to assist with collecting donations. A fourth grade class that raised $274 took the big prize: a pizza party on the last day of school, while the top single student fundraiser was a third-grader, who brought in $64 and received a $25 Target gift card. Prizes were donated by our agency and district manager Robin Winters.
Our office is very pleased with the positive result of the drive. Thank you Steele Elementary School!
