Personal Lines Customer Service Representative

Customer Service RepresentativeAnswers a majority of customer phone calls, prepares files for the agency producer, acts as a liaison between customers and the agency producer and the agent. Verifies policies are input and active.PurposeTo provide a world-class level of customer service to our personal lines policy holders, and to provide administrative and personal lines support to John Geringer and other members of the Personal Lines team.Primary Tasks- Handle Personal Lines client inquiries- Support agent with new business processing and underwriting follow-up- Work with Underwriters or other parties to move underwriting forward when there is a delay or pending deadline- Write additional personal lines policies for existing clientsRequired Qualifications/Skills- Requires proficiency in MS Word and Excel; must be able to perform basic calculations, sort data, and create and edit existing documents- A minimum of three (3) years experience in a business environment- A minimum of three (3) years providing direct customer service support- High level of professionalism- Superior customer service skills- Highly organized and detail oriented- Strong problem solving skills- Ability to network and take initiative- Ability to work in fast-paced environment- Ability to multi-task on a constant basis- Ability to communicate effectively- Reliable- Strong work ethic with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude- Ability to work independently at times without supervision- Excellent time/self-management- Articulate in the English languageDesired Qualifications/Skills- State of California Property and Casualty Insurance License or willing to obtain- Insurance or financial services/banking experience, preferably interfacing directly with clients on the phone and in person- Working knowledge of PowerPoint, E-CMS, and Farmers Dashboard- B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business or Finance
