I grew up in a small town outside of Forth Worth, TX known as Granbury. For most of my teenage years, I worked on a 45-acre ranch raising ostriches, cattle, and horses. I started working at a local small engine repair shop as soon as I could drive. I was and still am very active in sporting events. I favor anything in the water, rock climbing, Jeep trails, camping, and mountain biking.
I left high school, enlisting in the Air Force. I served four years as a Flight Medic here in Colorado Springs, being part of every base in a 30-mile radius. I served one short tour overseas, which was mostly in the back of an airplane. I was trained as an EMT and was very proficient in emergency medicine. Once I left the Air Force, I continued getting my Firefighting certificate. I'm very grateful for our military, knowing their lifestyles are not one of the easiest.
I then took a different path with a job offer at Heuberger Motors as an Internet/Fleet sales manager. I wasn't the typical car sales guy, so don't worry. My goal was to sell all of my cars at under wholesale and actually just be honest. This resulted in being the 2nd highest volume salesperson for the store. My co-worker/ friend in the same department just barely captured the #1 slot. I'm now currently using these same skills at Farmers trying to get you the best bang for your buck. I'm truly concerned that my customers have the right coverage for their family and personal property.
On the weekends, I spend a lot of time in the great Colorado outdoors. I have a rockcrawling rig, so I actually don't mind getting a vast amount of body damage. It is also very safe with a roll cage (that has been proven to work) and I built 90% of it in my own garage. A group of us typically go all over the state to find the hardest trails and make a weekend camping trip out of it. I try and take a week long trip to Moab once a year, when I can. I also have a 2007 STi Ltd that does make it to a race track every once in a while. I was brought on as a Vice President for FAASST performance driving school in 2008 that teaches drivers to push their own cars to their limits and to compete with NASA or SCCA nationwide. I like cars if you can't tell. I even have sponsored a couple at the local racing events. I'm a very down to earth guy and like to say that I have an "open door" policy. I will make time for my clients.
