About Me
Hello, I am John Griset. I am happy to be serving the insurance & financial needs* of McKinney and Collin County area folks.
Besides being a Farmers agent, I have a wife who teaches in the McKinney Independent School District and two children in elementary school in McKinney. On weekends, if we are not camping, we are enjoying watching our kids participate in local athletic leagues or trying out a new area restaurant.
In 1987, I earned an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. I moved to Irving, Texas in 1994 to work for The Wall Street Journal and in 1997, earned an MBA from the University of Dallas in Irving, TX, graduating with honors. I then moved to McKinney in 2002 to start up an insurance and financial services* agency.
We are located in the McKinney Green Building at 4500 W. Eldorado. We promote environmental awareness through recycling and reduced energy consumption. On many days, I leave the car at home and commute to work on my mountain bike.
