John McSweeny started his career as an agent with Farmers Insurance in May 1977, in a Kimmerer, Wyoming (pop 3,500).  He built a successful agency from scratch not knowing anyone from the area.  As an agent, he qualified for Topper Club, Life Masters, and Commercial Masters.

In January 1984, he became a District Manager in Eastern (rural) Colorado, beginning with 12 agents.  John qualified for the prestigious Presidents Council after his 7th year as a District Manager.  In 1992 he had transitioned to a combined rural and metro District in South Denver.  Now 28 years later, he has one of the most successful Districts in the Denver Metro Area.
