MIKE SEMPREVIVO - Wheaton , IL
As a scholarship athlete, Mike Semprevivo knew all about self-discipline, preparation and
cooperation. He brought these traits to Farmers Insurance when he joined District 55 as a 23-year-old
college graduate from the University of New Mexico where he played on the Lobo Baseball Team. For
the past 10 years, Mike’s communication major and sports background have served Mike well as he
continues to grow his agency.
Mike believes that the District setting is crucial to his success because he can learn from the
District Staff and share ideas with other agents on Team 55. Farmers also gives him the flexibility to
grow his agency his way. While the District Staff provides several blueprints for success, agents have the
ability to determine where and how they market.
Mike’s favorite part of owning his agency is working with a diverse group of clients. No two days
are alike, which keeps the day-to-day operation fun and exciting. Working with clients when they have a
claim is also something Mike enjoys. With top-quality claims service from a preferred insurance carrier
like Farmers, he is able to help clients through the stress of a claim and get them back where they
belong.
Since 2002, Mike’s Agency has been located Downtown Wheaton. He lives in Glen Ellyn with
his wife and 2 children.
PAT MAZZANTI - Downers Grove , IL
At Loyola University, Patricia Mazzanti focused on science because she planned to attend Optometry
school. But while in high school and college, she worked in her father’s independent insurance agency
and became an agency producer for him. After graduating in 1985, she decided to join Farmers
Insurance.
“Farmers Insurance offers comprehensive agent product training, subsidy and career development
support. These factors and Farmers’ reliable position in the marketplace helped me to grow my agency.
In general, the insurance industry is fantastic, varied and flexible with many career options.”
Throughout her career, Patricia has continued to gain insight into the insurance and financial industries.
She has completed the LUTC and Chartered Financial Consultant designations and the Certified Financial
Planner courses.
“Farmers products and innovation have allowed me to develop a thriving agency and to produce enough
sales to attend 20 Topper Achievement Clubs and 2 Championships conventions. More importantly,
Farmers allows me to meet the financial commitments for both my business and family through a
dynamic career.
Though Pat never made it to Optometry School, she can see clearly that an Agency Manager position
with Farmers was the right choice for her.
WARREN WEAVER - Elmwood Park , IL
Just 45 days is all it took for Warren Weaver to complete our reserve agent training. He
chose the most accelerated training program, but there are other options too. Since
joining District 55 in 2008, Warren has excelled. He earned the Blue Vase Award for life
insurance results as well as several top district awards. Warren, who now employs two
full-time staff members, joined Farmers with an extensive sales background, but now
sees he needs to advise verses sell.
Whatever each year brings, growth and marketing will be key to Warren’s agency
success. “Have at least five different strategies in place and make sure they are within
your budget. Family and friends can be a great source of business, but it is important to
network too. The key is to make sure you see enough people and say the right things.”
Warren stresses the importance of meeting clients in their homes to build business
relationships. “Don’t just quote and hope.”
