Increasing urban development has made damages due to earthquakes more likely, which is why coverage is an option that homeowners should consider. Coverage is available in most states, however it is not a standard part of the majority of homeowner policies. In California, California Earthquake Authority (CEA) coverage is available from your Farmers agent. This coverage must be purchased in addition to your homeowners policy.
