Friends of Discovery Park"Friends" has advocated for Discovery Park since its inception in 1972. We support the 1972 Ft. Lawton Park Plan; the Master Plan and the 'Primary Function-Central Purpose' which is to preserve an open space of quiet and tranquility and an escape from the city, thus providing an opportunity for intimate contact with nature.
