Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
JDRF was formed in 1970 by parents of children with diabetes. The foundation operates on donations from businesses and private individuals. 85% of a donations received go directly to research. Type I (juvenile diabetes) is caused when a child’s pancreas no longer produces enough insulin to control the body’s blood sugar levels. The child must then rely on insulin shots several times per day. Insulin is not a cure; it is only life support. If diabetes is not monitored and controlled, it will lead to blindness, organ failure and death. Can you help? Yes! Through your donations and support, medical professionals can one day find a cure to this deadly disease.
