Household Pet Insurance Coverage

Everyone knows, losing a valued member of your family is hard to deal with. But as of June 1, 2008, Farmers® introduced insurance coverage that protects even the furriest members of your family. With the Household Pet coverage, Farmers® pays up to $600 (per occurrence, not per animal) when your pet is injured or killed during an otherwise covered loss(under Collision), or is stolen, injured or killed during a covered total vehicle theft loss(under Comprehensive). That’s right! And this is all at without additional costs to existing and new customers with full coverage Auto insurance!

In order to receive compensation under this great coverage, you must file a loss claim under your Comprehensive or Collision coverage, so your policy must have both Comprehensive and Collision coverage. You must also submit a receipt for any amount you paid to your veterinarian (as proof of injury) or submit a receipt stating the cost of burial for your deceased pet.
