Customer service representative

Answers a majority of customer phone calls, prepares files for the agency producer, acts as a liaison between customers and the agency producer and the agent. Verifies policies are input and active. Cross-sells all products at every opportunity through pivoting.  Continually follow-up on expiration dates and set new prospect appointments. Coordinates thank you/welcome letters for new households on a continual basis. Reviews cancellation and renewal lists on a weekly basis to ensure high level of retention and profitability. Makes calls and sends letters when appropriate on cancellations and renewal changes.  Always ask for referrals and thank customers for their business. Manage dashboard activities such as my alerts, marketing postcards/letters, and ACAR telephone follow-up. Distribute to new prospects an Area of Concern worksheet prior to meeting with the agent.

Agency contact representative

Schedules customer appointments regarding all lines of insurance and Farmers Friendly Reviews®. Set a minimum of 4 appointments per day. Makes 40 dials per hour using scripts provided by agent. Agent or office manager determines the focus of the calls. Calls include: a. Warm calls b. X-dating c. Scheduling annual reviews d. Setting appointments e. Confirming appointments Confirms all appointments one day in advance. These are great “warm-up” calls to begin a productive appointment-setting day. Records all appointments on the producer calendar/schedule, client profile notes and an appointment sheet. Retain copies of the appointment sheet for the ACR and office manager. Notes all calls on an agency contact tracking sheet.

Agency producer

Markets the agency and Farmers products to potential and existing customers. Must have Property and Casualty and Life insurance licenses. Solicits and writes new business for his/her specialist department. Coordinates with the agent and/or operations manager to provide assistance in determining proper coverage. Provides underwriting and rating for new accounts. Maintains knowledge of new products and initiatives. Pursues a program for development of personal and business skills. Actively solicits expiration dates from new clients and prospects. Develops agency relationship with existing clients. Meets the production requirements and goals assigned by the agent or agency manager. Maintains monthly sales record and provides a copy for review to the agent and/or operations manager. Supervision of specialist department CSR.
