Volunteer Coach
Over the past 20 years, my most enjoyable community involvement has been coaching youth basketball and soccer. Of course, I got started by coaching my kids' teams. The most memorable season was 2007, coaching girls AAU basketball. Our team went 27-5, and won the Alabama YBOA State Championship 13u division this year. What makes it even more rewarding, is watching the girls excel with their school teams. They are seeing their dedication, time and effort pay off with championships.
